We took our time with the Nolas backpacks. We went through a detailed development process:

• Researching materials closely together with various suppliers across Asia to find options that combine retro looks, high performance, and sustainable content.
• Diving into design research to find the perfect balance between vintage aesthetics and cutting-edge performance, to meet the demands of modern adventurers.
• Building paper mock-ups, and sewing prototypes and parts ourselves in Switzerland, for testing details and ensuring every detail to get right.
• Our experienced technical backpack designer, David Freitag, brought his expertise from working a dekade at international brands to perfect the design.

We worked closely with our manufacturing partners in Vietnam, providing complete pattern with technical specifications and bill of materials, so we know exactly how our products are built and what materials go into every backpack. Our hands-on approach ensures quality, transparency, and the ability to proudly say this is a Swiss-designed product that holds its promises.
